Anyone wishing to adopt from River Valley Animal Rescue must first fill out an adoption application. The application can be picked up at the shelter or filled out online by clicking the button above. Meet with an adoption specialist to help us decide if your home and lifestyle are a good fit for the pet you wish to adopt.
In order to ensure our animals, receive the best possible "furever" homes, RVAR's adoption process may include before and after adoption home visits, phone calls following adoption to see how the animal is adjusting or a short trial period adoption. Dogs - Adoption fees range from $400-and up. Cats - Adoption fees are $150, discounts apply for 2 or more. Seniors over 12 years are $75. All adoption fees include vaccinations, microchip, and spay or neuter. All vet work must be done at vets who are contracted with RVAR.
